update on the Vivace paintings

As I've posted earlier, I have a collection of my paintings that have been showing at Vivace, slated to stay up till the end of May.  I'm very happy to say that they'll remain up for a bit longer!

I paid a fairly recent visit to the Hoyt Arboretum here in Portland for some views to paint.  I'm posting these two paintings together, but between them there's a little elapse of time in the day and a slightly different vantage.

May Day at the Broderick Gallery

I attended the reception for the May Day exhibit at the Broderick Gallery in Rainer, Oregon today.  It was very cool to see some really fabulous artwork by regional artists (and meet some of them).  Thanks to George Broderick for putting together the exhibit and for being such a gracious host!  The exhibit will run through May 23rd.  I had a couple of my paintings in the show. 

George says the cat may belong to a neighbor, but it appeared he adopted George.
