Yes, it's yet another view from our wanderings about Montjüic... It had all these lovely little park areas to meander through; it was easy to get side-tracked.
I'd painted a series of views of Cannon Beach back in July 2011 (and posted subsequently in this blog). Here's a holdover. I was thinking of using this one and another I posted earlier for a website for my fictional writing project, which I hope to build in the fairly near future (timeline intentionally vague).
I painted a couple versions of this one in the last year and a half (posted 10 November 2010 and 15 November 2010). It's one of my all-time favorite views, so why not paint it again?
I'm thinking of using this painting for a website for my fictional writing, that other obsession of mine, in which it'll be some place more mysterious than Hoyt Arboretum. We'll see...
And now for something completely different... or at least somewhat different from my long stream of paintings of Spain. Today, it's a trip back to Prague, where the husband and I visited eight years ago (that long already? I guess there were many fabulous adventures since then). It was our first trip overseas together. It may look familiar because it's another (smaller) version of a painting I did back in December 2010, also evidence how fast the arrow of time seems to be flying.
