On another day during our stay on the island of Mallorca, we took a bus into the beautiful town of
Valldemossa. Here, the composer,
Frédéric Chopin (one of my favorites), and the author,
George Sand, spent some time, staying at the converted monestary. Apparently George Sand didn't leave the best impression on the people living there when she published her
Un hiver à Majorque, though the monestary is now the primary tourist attraction in town.
Per usual, the husband and I rambled about, both in town then out into the surrounding countryside. We found some footpaths that led us through quiet woods and spectacular views of the citrus, avocado, and olive groves, and the jagged mountain cliffs and peaks. It was another glorious day in Mallorca.
Love the light dancing on the walkway and composition brings you right down the path. Nice painting!
